African Modular Building Solutions (AMBS) is a South African modular infrastructure company specialising in the design, engineering, manufacture, and delivery of prefabricated and modular building solutions.

From individual buildings to complex multi-building developments, our approach combines engineering, controlled off-site manufacturing and project delivery to create solutions around the operational, technical and site requirements of each project.

2008 — AMBS Established

African Modular Building Solutions established as the modular construction division of ANCRO Building Projects.

2020 — A New Chapter

AMBS entered a new phase of ownership and development, with renewed focus on expanding its modular manufacturing and turnkey project delivery capabilities.

2025 — Manufacturing Capability Expanded

AMBS expanded its in-house manufacturing capability with the addition of EPS panel production alongside its established polyurethane panel manufacturing capability.

Modular capability backed by construction experience.

Our projects are not limited to the factory floor. Where required, AMBS integrates modular construction with structural steel, civils, electrical, HVAC, plumbing and supporting infrastructure through a coordinated project delivery approach. This allows us to develop the solution around the project requirements rather than forcing the project into a standard product.

BUILT IN SOUTH AFRICA

Manufacturing capability under our control.

AMBS operates its own manufacturing facility in Gauteng, giving us direct control over production, quality and project coordination. Our off-site manufacturing capability allows significant elements of a project to be produced in a controlled factory environment before being delivered to site as components, building systems or completed modules.
